About
Hi, I’m Allison, a compassionate women’s holistic health practitioner who supports mothers through the postpartum journey with nourishing care and intuitive listening. I offer both in-home visits and land-based care rooted in traditional postpartum practices- nutrient dense food, herbal remedies, hands-on bodywork, rest and warmth combined with emotional and informational support. To ease the transition into caregiving, I help you create a postpartum plan that honours your family’s values and rhythms.
Seasonally, I hold intimate workshops and community events that centre on flower arranging and reconnection to the earth. These gatherings blend simple floral design techniques with grounding practices to nurture creativity and presence. Participants leave with a handcrafted arrangement, a deeper sense of calm, and practical tools for bringing natural beauty and ritual into daily life—fostering personal renewal and community connection.
For over fifteen years I have tended to women, families and entrepreneurs and learned that true support comes from caring for and being in relationship with the physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of being. With a background in organic agriculture and deep experience creating restorative landscapes, the spaces in which we meet are meant to carry you through motherhood with confidence, nourishment and community care.
I am also a mama to many creative endeavours, gardens and animals. These days, in addition to being a support for others, you will often find me immersed in the world of holistic dog health and animal behaviour, discovering a new flower or plant or out on our favourite trails hiking with our dog.
It is my mission for all women to feel supported on their mothering journeys. No matter the changes that your birth and transition into motherhood bring up, I look forward to navigating them with you.
Postpartum Care, why it matters.
Giving birth is a deeply transformative experience, but for many mothers in our modern culture, there is a profound lack of support on the other side. As joyous as postpartum can be, it can also feel overwhelming, depleting and at times insurmountable. It was never meant to be this way. Alternatively, many traditional cultures around the world commonly view the fourth trimester as sacred, honouring mothers through care rooted in women’s physiology and still employ these practices today.
Traditional postpartum care comes from understanding that when mothers are tended to through the physical, emotional, social and spiritual changes after birth, capacity to care for their newborn greatly increases. If children are the future of our communities, caretaking the mother and baby becomes important for the well-being of all. Mother-centered care and postpartum care in its entirety lays a strong foundation of health and healing for generations to come.
In 2025 I completed nine months of postpartum care training with Innate Traditions. I honour, acknowledge and give thanks to the lineage, practices and teachings learned within this body of culture-shifting work. The care I offer is a way to carry forth these ancient traditions interwoven with personal experiences of life.
