FAQs
Do you offer specific postpartum care packages?
We currently include postpartum care as part of our overall family care package along with events & workshops specifically designed for the 4th trimester/postpartum. We will be expanding our offerings in the future after completion of our certificate training (to allow for proper integration of our work).
How does this differ from nanny/childcare services?
We believe in care in relation to whole health (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, social) during times of transition. Our practice specializes in serving mothers, families and entrepreneurs both in the immediate postpartum timeframe (6 weeks) and beyond, while also providing extra support such as garden care and small business care. We include the wellness of ALL family/household members (animals too) with a focus on mother centered care.
Why do I need postpartum care?
Within our modern culture, we are led to believe that new family member responsibilities and life are meant to be carried alone, but this is a far cry from the actuality of what birth is meant to be. The African proverb “it takes a village to raise a child” could not be more true or needed today.
Giving birth is a major life transition on all levels, for all family involved (no matter if it is your 1st or 8th birth!). Being nourished and well resourced during postpartum lays a strong foundation for continued health and healing for the family unit as a whole, with its effects rippling far out into our communities.
Recognizing mothers as the wellspring of life for those who they raise, and caring for them through this lens not only allows for individual and family health, but health for generations to come.
*Please note: the postpartum time frame is considered ANY time after a birth, including loss or miscarriage

How do I book?
All bookings begin with a 30 minute consult call to discuss your family needs, expectations and to answer any questions you may have. This ensures that we are on the same page for the service(s) you require. Afterwards, care can be booked in 3 hr increments (AM or PM).
