Holistic Nutrition Workshop, August 1st (Land & Mother Workshop Series)

$67.00

Gather with us in the garden August 1st, 2:30-5:00pm and immerse yourself in the world of holistic nutrition for everyday life & postpartum, along with the ancestral art of bellydance!

This month will centre on belly health through food- a topic that will excite your tastebuds and is fundamental to nourishing our bodies and minds. Together we will make a nutritious meatstock from scratch (different from bone broth!) while learning which foods are physiologically appropriate for postpartum and womanhood in general. What is Meatstock? A powerhouse addition to your pantry for leaky gut, meatstock is collagen rich and aids in sustaining energy. Made with a mixture of water, vegetables and meat attached to the joints and bones, it has a shorter cook time than traditional bone broth, is easy to digest, helps soothe and heal the gut lining, and is highly versatile in the kitchen. Use it for soups, stews, in replacement of water for cooking, or drink it fresh!

In the second half of the workshop, we will be guided through a beautiful demonstration of learning how to bellydance by Marcela, a wonderful dance teacher here in Moose Jaw. She will teach and share with us how bellydance is ancestrally connected with feminine power and the womb while we practice pelvic movements to connect us with the earth. Let’s learn together about this energy center and celebrate sisterhood among women. We can’t wait to see you there!

You will receive:

  • Hands-on demo + a jar of fresh, nourishing meatstock (750ml) for your fridge or freezer

  • Herbal tea

  • Demonstration and instruction of bellydancing

  • Resource list to assist you on your nutrition journey

  • Community knowledge sharing and support

  • Time in a calm, beautiful garden setting

Cost: $67/person (all supplies are included).

Workshop hosts:

~ Allison Taylor, Women’s Holistic Health Practitioner, Cut flower grower and educator
~ Marcela Borerro Cruz, Bellydance Fusion and Latin Dance Teacher
